What is the difference between maternity leave and extended maternity leave? Who are entitled to those types of leaves?

All mothers (regardless of citizenship) with newborn are entitled to two months (56 calendar days) of maternity leave.

Extended Maternity leave only applies to mothers with newborn Singaporean children. After the HR Admin has keyed in the child details for the employee and checked the pro-family leave (to be enabled if child is a Singaporean),  the employee would see 'Extended Maternity Leave' in the dropdown list. This leave type is based on working days and can be taken flexibly within 12 months from the child’s birth date.
