The Leave Module allows you to create and set up your own leave type based on your company's requirements.
The steps to set up the leave type are:
Step 1: Click on
Step 2: Click on
Step 3: Click on. You should the page similar to the image below. This is where you can see the different leave types that are pre-set into the system.
Childcare & Extended maternity leave settings
Step 4: Click on link at the top right of the page.
NOTE: This is mandatory for companies that are operating within Singapore. Not needed for companies that are not operating in Singapore as the settings are leave types that companies in Singapore must comply with.
Step 5: The following dialogue box will appear. Put a tick on the leave types allowed by your company.
Step 6: Click on the button to save the configuration.
Creating New Leave Type
Step 7: To add a new leave type, click on at the bottom of the page.
Step 8: Enter the leave type name
Step 9: Assign a color code for this leave type. This is the color that will appear on the leave calendar
Step 10: Set the Leave Entitlement for this leave type
Step 11: Select the mode. There are 2 modes. One is per annum, and the other is per incident.
Per Annum - staff is able to apply for the leave type based on the entitlement days in the year
Per Incident - this is the number of days the staff is allowed to apply per submission
Step 12: Select the Days of Calculation. There are basically 2 types: Calendar and Working days only
Calendar days - includes weekends
Working days - based on the workweek
Step 13: (Optional) Enter a description or remarks on the Remarks field
Step 14: (Optional)You can select the relevant options below
Step 15: Click on the button to save
NOTE if you require submission of hard copy (paper copy) of documents
If you require your staff to submit hard copy of documents when applying for a certain leave type, you can tick on the option (image below) to trigger the system to send a reminder to the applicant. The applicant will receive an email every day for the duration stated to request them to submit their documents.
For administrators, once you have received the hard copy of documents, you can go to the process documents page to indicate that you have received the necessary documentation.
