How to Credit Leave in Hours

The administrator can credit leave in hours by following the steps indicated below. Please note that there are two parts to this guide. The first is to allow the staff to edit the number of days applied and second is to credit the leave in hours to the staff.

To allow the staff to edit the number of days applied:

NOTE: This needs to be done in order for users to be able to use the leaves credited to them in hours

Step 1: Go to leave.png

Step 2: Click on configuration.png

Step 3: From the company_settings.png tab, scroll down and look for Employee_leave_policy.png

Step 4: Look for this option: 


Step 5: Once done with step 4, please click on save.pngat the bottom of the page.

After doing the steps above, here are the steps on how to credit leave in hours:

The administrator needs to determine first how many working hours per day to know the equivalent of the leave in hours.

Example: 1 working day = 8 working hours

Compute the equivalent of leave hours by 1 working day/8 hours = 0.125 days = 1 hour

Then, 0.25 days = 2 hours, and so on…

Once equivalent is computed, follow the steps below to credit it to the staff’s Leave Balance.

Step 1: Go to leave.png

Step 2: Click on admin.png

Step 3: Go to the adjustments.png tab at the top

Step 4: On the Adjustments page, please complete the fields:


  • Leave Type - choose the leave type that you will be crediting from the drop-down box.
  • Adjustment Days - input the number of hours that you will be crediting to the staff. Make sure that it's in decimal format. (Refer to the explanation above)
  • Effective Date - By default, it will follow date of the adjustment, but you can choose a different date
  • Expiry date - By default, the expiry date is at the end of the year, but you can choose a different date to change the expiry date.
  • Adjustment Type - please make sure to choose "Credit"
  • Remarks - kindly input a remark on why you are crediting this leave to the staff. The remark you input can be seen by the staff on their end as well.

Step 5: Select the name of the staff from the listing box by putting a tick beside their name/names, then click on the "Submit" button


Step 6: You will be able to view the adjustment you just did in the "View Adjustment History" page:
