This article will enumerate certain parameters that need to be set before the staff can apply for the following leave types: Child Care Leave, Maternity, Extended Maternity, Paternity, and Shared Parental Leave.
- The basic requirement before staff can start utilizing any of the leave types stated above is the Child Details. The Child Details page is where the system filters and considers what particular leave type will be available for the staff.
To add in the child details of the staff, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Login to your account
Step 2: Go to
Step 3: Click on
Step 4: Look for the tab at the top
You will see the page similar to below:
Input the details as follows:
Employee - please choose the name of the staff
Join Date - indicate the staff's join date
Youngest Child's Name - note that as per MOM, only the youngest child can be considered for any of the leave types mentioned above.
Birth Date - the Date of Birth of the child
Leave Start Year - this will be auto populated based on the Date of Birth of the child. The system will also use this to calculate what leave type the staff is eligible for
Pro-Family Leave - this is where you tell the system if the child is Singaporean/Non-Singaporean. Put a tick if Singaporean, unticked if non-Singaporean.
Shared Parental - put a tick on this column if the staff is entitled to Shared Parental Leave. (NOTE: Shared Parental Leave is when the wife shares a part of her maternity leave to her husband)
Step 5: Once all the details are in, please click on
- If the child details of the staff is already in the system, and the staff is still unable to see the leave type, please check the configuration set for each Leave type. This is where the system can filter the different leave types based on gender and marital status. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to
Step 2: Click on
Step 3: Look for the tab at the top
Step 4: Search for the particular leave type you want to check. (Example Maternity Leave)
Step 5: Click on the icon adjacent to the leave type.
Step 6: A pop up window will appear:
Step 7: Check the filters, if you will only allow married staff to take the leave type, put a tick on that option. Please also set the correct gender filter as necessary, eg: Paternity - for males only.
Step 8: Once done, click on
- One more that needs to be checked is if the staff's details are correct, particularly for their marital status and gender. To do so, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click on the dropdown arrow beside your name
Step 2: Look for the name of the employee and click on the icon adjacent to the staff's name
Step 3: Under the staff's leave details, please check if the gender and marital status are set correctly:
