We have an Emergency Leave type that can be enabled in Leave module. It’s useful for companies that require employees to apply for Annual Leave in advance — for example, if the policy says annual leave must be applied 3 days advance. With the Emergency Leave option, companies can let employees take urgent annual leave, for example, they can allow up to 3 days per year of emergency leave, which will be deducted from the employee’s annual leave balance when used.
How to enable Emergency Leave?
Step 1: The Emergency Leave is turned OFF by default. To enable it, go to module, then select
menu, and then click on
tab.
Step 2: In the Leave Types page, click on which can be found at the top right.
Step 3: A pop-up page will show, and you should find the ’Emergency Leave’ type, switch it ON by toggling this option , and then click the 'Save' button (see screenshot below).
The default Emergency Leave entitlement is 3 days per year.
Step 4: You can change the entitlement and settings by clicking on the Emergency Leave (the hyperlinked name), and update the settings accordingly. Don’t forget to click the 'Save' button.
Once enabled, employees can apply for Emergency Leave (see screenshot below), and any approved days will be deducted from their Annual Leave balance.
