Unable to see any appraisal forms to submit

Employees may sometimes encounter difficulties when trying to submit their Appraisal form, which can be a source of frustration. There are several reasons why this might happen. In this article, we will explore the possible causes preventing employees from submitting their Appraisal form and provide guidance on how to resolve these issues.

1. Staff is not assigned as Appraisal Module user.

The first reason an employee might be unable to submit the Appraisal form is that they have not been assigned as a module user for the Appraisal module. If an employee isn’t assigned to this module, they won’t see 'Appraisal Module' on the left panel of their screen, where they would normally start the review process. Essentially, without access to the module, the employee will be completely unaware of its existence within the system.

To resolve this issue and enable the employee to access and submit their Appraisal form, you need to ensure they are correctly assigned as a module user for the Appraisal module. Please follow the steps below to do this.

Step 1. Go to User Admin.

2. Review Cycle is not yet created.

Another reason an employee might be unable to submit their Appraisal form is if the Review Cycle has not yet been created. In the Appraisal module, even if the necessary forms are prepared and exist within the system, the review cycle itself must be created and released for employees to access and complete these forms. The review cycle serves as the framework within which appraisals are conducted; it dictates the period, the participants, and the process flow. Without an active and released review cycle, the forms remain inaccessible to employees, meaning they won’t have the opportunity to fill out or submit anything.

To create a review cycle and release it, please follow the steps in this article: Manage Review Cycle List

If you’re unable to create a review cycle, it may be because the necessary appraisal forms have not been created yet. This issue ties directly into the third point: even if you have set up a review cycle, it cannot be published or accessed by employees unless the appropriate forms are ready and in place.

3. Appraisal Form not yet created.

Another reason employees might be unable to submit their Appraisal form is that the Appraisal Form itself has not been created. If the form doesn’t exist, employees won’t see any option to complete or submit an appraisal.

Without a created Appraisal Form, there’s nothing for employees to view or fill out. The Appraisal module relies on these forms to facilitate the evaluation process.

4. The Employee is not assigned as a reviewer in the cycle.

The fourth reason an employee may be unable to submit the Appraisal form is if they are not assigned as a reviewer in the cycle. In the Appraisal module, specific employees must be designated as reviewers within the review cycle. Without this assignment, they won’t have the necessary permissions to access or complete the review form for others. This means that even if the review cycle is active and the forms are available, the employee won’t be able to participate in the review process unless they have been explicitly added as a reviewer. To ensure that all intended participants can complete their reviews, it’s important to double-check that the correct employees have been assigned the reviewer role within the review cycle.

Addressing these issues involves ensuring proper module access, creating and releasing the review cycle, creating the necessary forms, and assigning the appropriate reviewer roles. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact our Support Team for help.
