Administration - Salary Progression

The Salary Progression is useful when you need to change the staff salary. This is also the page which you can see the salary progression history.

📌 Note:  It is important effective date is correct to have correct pro-rated amount. You can also review his portion to see why the amount was pro-rated too.

Adding/Changing Salary

There are two ways to add or update an employee’s salary: manually updating the details in the system, or using the import function.

To change the salary of the staff, do the following steps:

Manual Updating

Step 1: Click on PAYROLL.png

Step 2: Click on admin.png

Step 3: Click on salary_progression.png

Step 4: The system will show you the staff list

Step 5: Look the staff you wish to update the pay and click on the pencil_icon.png .

Step 6: The following form will appear. Make the required changes

 Step 7: Click onsubmit.png

 Step 8: Back at Step4 click on right side of the Staff's name the VIEW   (eye icon) to see the detailed effective date. You may remove and re-input again if there are any correction.

Importing

With this feature, payroll admins will be able to 

  • Export a template (with existing salary progression line items)
  • Use the template to add new salary progressions to it and do a bulk import

Step 1: Go to Payroll Module  PAYROLL.png.

Step 2: Click on 'Administration' Tab admin.png.

Step 3: Click on "Salary Progression" tab at the top. You will be directed to this page:

Step 4: To download the existing salary progression date, click on 330.png You will get the data in an Excel File

Step 5: To import new salary progression for users, click on 331.png You will be brought to this page:

Step 6: Complete the template by filling in all required fields.

Make sure to enter the Effective Date carefully, as this determines when the new salary will take effect. If you are importing salary details from a previous year, double-check that the year entered is accurate to avoid discrepancies.

Step 7: save the file, and drop the file in this field 333.png

Step 8: Once you have added the file, click on mceclip0.png

Step 9: You will receive a notification once the import has been completed
