How does the system calculate OT for Public Holidays and Rest Day?

Introduction

This article will show administrators how the system calculates OT during public holidays and rest days.

Work on Public Holiday

Pay for working on a public holiday =
(12 x Monthly basic rate of pay x Public holidays worked on) / (52 x Average number of work days in a week)

 

Not Working on Public Holiday

Pay for working on a public holiday =
(12 x Monthly gross rate of pay x Public holidays falling on a non-work day) / (52 x Average number of work days in a week)

 

Working on a Rest Day or Public Holiday which is Rest Day

Pay for working a full rest day =
(12 x monthly basic rate of pay) / (52 x average number of days an employee is required to work in a week) x 2

Pay for working half a rest day =
(12 x monthly basic rate of pay) / (52 x average number of days an employee is required to work in a week) x 1
