Employee Anniversary Leave Entitlement

The Employee Anniversary Leave accrual policy is considered a full-year policy. This means that employees receive their annual leave entitlements based on their anniversary date when they joined the company.

Each year, on their anniversary date, employees' annual leave balances are refreshed. This means that the leave entitlements for the new year are credited to the employees on their anniversary date.

The leave balances are reset or refreshed on every anniversary date. This ensures that employees receive their full annual leave entitlement for each year of service, based on their joining date.

Example: Employee ABC

Join Date: July 7, 2023

First Year of Service: From July 7, 2023, to July 6, 2024

On July 7, 2023, Employee ABC receives his initial leave entitlement.

Second Year of Service: From July 7, 2024, to July 6, 2025

On July 7, 2024, Employee ABC’s leave balance is refreshed, and he receives his leave entitlement for the second year.

Employee leave balances and entitlements are displayed in different reports.

Leave Balance Report - This report shows the current leave balances for employees as of today. It reflects the current status without considering the years of service.

Leave Individual Report - These reports show the leave entitlement based on the employee's years of service. The entitlement is the amount of leave an employee is eligible for in a specific year of their service.

The "Year" filter is important because it helps you view the leave entitlement for a specific year of the employee's service. It allows you to see how much leave an employee is entitled to base on their tenure.

Example: Employee ABC

First Year of Service:

  • Start Date: July 7, 2023

  • If you want to view Employee ABC's leave entitlement for his first year of service, you need to generate the individual report for the year 2023.

Second Year of Service:

  • Start Date: July 7, 2024

  • To view Employee ABC's leave entitlement for his second year of service, you would select the year 2024 in the report.

In summary, the Leave Balance Report gives you an up-to-date view of available leave, while the Leave Individual Report provides a detailed look at entitlements based on years of service. Using both reports together helps in managing and understanding employee leave more effectively under the Employee Anniversary Leave accrual policy.
