Leave Chat Messaging

The chat messaging feature is now available on the web and app. The Approving Officer and/or Recommending Officer and the staff can share messages using a chat box inside the Leave details page.

 

USING THE WEB

APPROVING/RECOMMENDING OFFICER

If you are the assigned approver, you can send a chat message to the staff when viewing the submitted leave’s details. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Go to 1.png .

Step 2: Click on dashboard.png .

Step 3: From your Dashboard, click on 2.png .

Step 4: On the Pending actions tab, click on the 4.png button under the Actions column.

Step 5: The Chat box is in the bottom of the leave details.

Step 6: Add your message on the space provided and click on Send when ready.

This is how it looks once the message has been sent and the staff has replied.

The approver will receive an email notification if the message is left unread. A link is available to click on to view the message.

END USER

The submitter will also have access to the chat box. Here are steps:

Step 1: Go to 1.png .

Step 2: Click on dashboard.png .

Step 3: From your Dashboard, click on 10.png .

Step 4: You will be directed to your Leave History page, where you can see all the submitted leaves and its statuses.

Click on the mceclip0.png icon to view the details of the leave. The chat box is available in the bottom, where you can send messages to the approver.

The user will also receive an email notification for every unread chat message, which will contain a link to click on to view the message.

USING THE MOBILE APP

APPROVERS

You can also send a chat message to the staff using the mobile app.

 

Step 1: From the Homepage of the App. Go to the More Menu.

Step 2: Click on Leave Approval.

Step 3: On the Request Tab, click the leave application to start a chat with the submitter.

Step 4: Click the Chat Icon to start typing the message.

Once the staff has responded, a notification with the message will appear in the app; to respond, please follow the instructions above to reply to the conversation.

END USER

The submitter will also have access to the chat box using the Mobile app.

Step 1: From the Homepage of the App. Go to the More Menu.

Step 2: Click on Leave History.

Employee will receive a notification in the app with the message once the Approving officer has sent a message.
